Reiki
A gentle space to slow down, receive, and reconnect with yourself.
At YamOGA, we practice Reiki in the traditional Usui style, a Japanese energy practice founded by Mikao Usui.
Reiki is based on the practice of working with universal life-force energy through gentle touch or hands held just above or on the body. The intention is to create a quiet, supportive space where you can slow down, become more present, and reconnect with your own sense of balance.
During a session, you remain fully clothed and comfortably supported while we work through traditional Usui Reiki hand positions.
There is nothing you need to achieve, perform, or understand.
Simply rest, receive, and allow yourself to be still.
A return to balance.
In the Usui Reiki tradition, Reiki is understood as a practice of supporting harmony across body, mind, and spirit.
We approach each session gently and intuitively, allowing time for stillness rather than trying to force a particular outcome.
Some people experience warmth, tingling, heaviness, lightness, or deep relaxation during Reiki. Others simply experience quiet.
There is no “right” way to feel Reiki.
Your experience is your own.
You can expect

Reiki at YamOGA
Reiki forms part of RENEW, the fourth pathway of the YamOGA 4R Method™.
After we Reflect, Root, and Resonate, Renew creates space for stillness, integration, and a return to yourself.
A Reiki session can be experienced on its own or incorporated into a more personalized YamOGA experience alongside meditation, yoga, or embodied sound healing, depending on your needs.
Nothing to perform. Nothing to prove. Just space to receive.
Book Your Reiki SessionReiki is offered as a complementary wellbeing practice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace medical or mental-health care.
