Sessions / Yoga

Root into your body.

ROOT · POSTURE · MINDFUL MOVEMENT

At YamOGA, yoga begins with your body, not a predetermined sequence.

With a particular focus on posture, alignment, mobility, and mindful movement, each practice is adapted to your age, experience, goals, and how your body feels today.

Whether you are 50+, looking for a more personalized yoga practice, or introducing your child to mindful movement, the intention is the same:

To build a stronger, more balanced, and more connected relationship with the body.

Yoga 50+

Move well. Stay strong. Keep doing what you love.

MOBILITY · BALANCE · STRENGTH · POSTURE

Yoga 50+ is a particular focus at YamOGA, offering personalized movement for adults who want to maintain strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, posture, and confidence as their bodies change with age.

You don't need to be flexible. You don't need previous yoga experience. And you don't need to keep up with anyone.

We begin with where your body is today.

With careful observation of how you stand and move, each session is adapted around your individual body and goals. Particular attention may be given to balance, spinal mobility, shoulder position, pelvic alignment, functional strength, and everyday movement patterns.

Chairs, walls, blocks, straps, and other supports can be incorporated whenever helpful, allowing you to move at your own pace with individual guidance.

Private sessions provide something a large group class often cannot: time, attention, and a practice created around you.

When desired, your session can finish with meditation, Reiki, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, or sound healing, creating a gentle transition from movement into deeper rest.

The goal isn't to perform younger. It's to keep moving through life with greater confidence and connection to your body.

Personalized Yoga

Your body. Your practice.

POSTURE · ALIGNMENT · STRENGTH · YIN

No two bodies move in exactly the same way, so your yoga practice shouldn't have to either.

Personalized Yoga begins with observing how you stand, how you move, where you hold tension, and what your body may need more or less of.

With particular attention to posture and alignment, sessions may explore common movement patterns such as anterior pelvic tilt, rounded shoulders, asymmetry, and spinal rotation through thoughtfully selected yoga poses, breath, mobility work, strengthening, and body awareness.

Your practice may be active and strengthening or slower and more restorative. Yin Yoga can also be incorporated when your body needs stillness, longer-held poses, and a quieter practice.

For YamOGA, alignment is not about creating a “perfect” pose. It is about helping the body feel more balanced, supported, and connected, creating greater ease for movement, breath, and your experience of energy.

Depending on your needs, your session may end with meditation, Reiki, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, or sound healing.

Your body is different every day. Your practice can be too.

Kids Yoga

Move. Breathe. Focus. Reset.

MOVEMENT · MINDFULNESS · FOCUS · CALM

Kids Yoga at YamOGA goes beyond yoga poses.

Sessions can bring together playful yoga, movement, breathing, mindfulness, meditation, sound, and gentle relaxation practices to help children develop body awareness and discover simple ways to slow down, focus, and reset.

Every child is different.

Some children need to move before they can become still. Others connect through breathing, sound, rhythm, imagination, or a few quiet moments of mindfulness.

Rather than simply asking children to “sit still,” we give them different ways to explore attention, movement, emotional awareness, relaxation, and self-regulation.

For children who experience difficulty concentrating, restlessness, high energy, or ADHD symptoms, sessions can offer supportive practices for exploring focus and calm in a positive, pressure-free environment.

Depending on the child, sessions may include:

Yoga & movement · Breathing exercises · Mindfulness · Guided meditation · Tibetan singing bowls · Tuning forks · Gentle relaxation

The intention isn't to make every child quiet.

It's to help them discover the tools that help them feel more present, focused, and connected to themselves.

More than movement.

Yoga at YamOGA is part of the YamOGA 4R Method™.

Root into your body through movement and breath. Reflect through awareness and mindfulness. Resonate through sound and energy when appropriate. Renew through rest and integration.
